Ilkeston Cycle Club are proud to host our coveted Shipley Park CX event on Saturday the 16th September 2023.
However, with any cycling club we are heavily reliant on generosity from individuals and we’re unfortunately falling short of volunteers this year.
We are asking (nay BEGGING!) for anyone who can spare some time to give us a hand in setting up the course, maintaining the event, marshalling or helping to tidy up after.
At the time of posting, we urgently need help for the following positions:
Friday 15th September @ 09:00 – 13:00
3 people to help clear the woodland and paint mark the CX course, ideally with petrol strimmers/gardening equipment.
Saturday 16th September
05:30 – 09:00 – 12 people to help stake out the course and set up gazebos etc.
12:00 – 15:30 – 2 people to help in the car park with traffic management etc
12:00 – 16:00 – 1 person to marshall the event
If you can, or know anyone that can assist with this, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH by 12PM on the 22nd August 2023 – we know this is short notice but sadly we’re out of options otherwise!
