The infamous Bath Street course from the bottom to the top of town never gets easier, but you can take it at your own pace! Break the rules, Defy Gravity!
All you need to know bout the event is below. The event runs from 9am till around 12:30pm including signing in through to presentations & farewells.
It’s just over 1/3 of a mile at 5% average gradient and within almost everyone’s grasp. It’s a race against the clock and results will be filtered by age categories, but for everyone taking part, it’s a great way to refresh the mind and body from the Christmas festivities so you can go at it again in the afternoon!
Entry fees are £6 for adults and £4 for under 16’s and proceeds will go to The Ben Parker Trust Fund who provide holidays for children battling cancer
Sign on opens at 9am at Green Spire Church Hall. Please sign on at least 30 mins before your start time You’ll receive a number to pin on to the back of your jersey and this will need handing back as soon as your race is finished please. The address for the Church is:

There is plenty of public parking available at the top of town near to sign on.
Start times will be issued on or before the 23rd December on our website, social media and emailed out.
First rider set off at 10am and then in 30 second intervals from two lanes thereafter from the bottom of Bath Street. We will advise of start times and lanes prior to the event.
If you miss your slot, there will be an opportunity to go at the very end of the race, but please make every effort to get to the start line on time so we can stick to the overall timing.
The event will conclude at the Green Spire Church with podium presentations for each category (defined by number of entries) with prizes and annual trophies handed to the winners.
Depending on numbers, the event is likely to conclude around 12:30pm.
The road will be closed fully for the duration of the event, but no later than 2pm.
All ages, backgrounds and abilities will be made to feel very welcome. Any type of bike is permitted with exception of motor assisted.
The starting point for all competitors this year will be beyond the cross roads at the bottom of bath street and finish outside the Townhall at the top of Bath Street
