SUMMARY:The Midsummer Charity Audax
DESCRIPTION:Spondon & Ilkeston Cycle Clubs are again working together to host their annual Midsummer Audax on Sunday 21st June 2026.  \n\n\n\nFollowing the success of the last two years\, we will be aiming yet again for a hundred hundreds; one hundred riders doing their own century\, either 100 miles or 100km.  \n\n\n\nBoth routes are completely new. We have a new café which is halfway for all riders.  \n\n\n\nWe also have a new\, local charity\, Treetops Hospice Care\, based in Risley and as well as passing there\, each route has been designed to ride past several of their charity shops.  \n\n\n\nAs previously\, we will all start (8am) and finish at the Queens Head in Ockbrook\, where food and drink is available all day and there is a large garden for you all to recuperate and compare rides.  \n\n\n\n***Detailed routes will only be sent out close to the day***  \n\n\n\nWe ask that you do two things to enter:1) Make a donation on the JustGiving page LINK HERE (You choose how much but we would suggest a minimum of £10 please)2) Leave your email on the JustGiving donation so we can update you with the route \n\n\n\n\nLink to JustGiving Page\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSome info about Treetops……. \n\n\n\n\nTreetops Hospice is the leading end of life care charity for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. They provide nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions\, those who’ve been bereaved\, and their families.  \n\n\n\nTheir services are available free of charge\, from diagnosis onwards. They offer end of life nursing in patients’ own homes\, counselling for grieving children and adults\, personalised wellbeing support and confidential advice.  \n\n\n\nIt costs £5.3 million a year to keep Treetops going and we need to raise over 80% of cost \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNote:All riders do at their own risk/responsibility.
