DESCRIPTION:🚴 Little Eaton Carnival Hill Climb \n\n\n\nBuckle up\, because our Hill Climb season is HERE — and we’re kicking things off in style with our legendary annual collaboration with Little Eaton Carnival! This is one of the most-loved events in our calendar\, and it’s easy to see why. \n\n\n\n🏔️ The Challenge Awaits Just under half a mile of pure grit — starting on tarmac before the road gives way to a rugged track as you battle your way to the summit. Short? Yes. Easy? Absolutely not. \n\n\n\n🏆 Who Shows Up? Everyone. We’re talking former National Hill Climb Champions at one end of the spectrum\, and determined little ones being lovingly nursed up the hill by their Grandma at the other. Unicyclists\, road bikes\, mountain bikes — if it has wheels (or just one)\, it’s welcome here. \n\n\n\n🎭 Fancy Dress — Because Why Not? Completely optional\, but where’s the fun in that? Past appearances include Spiderman\, Supergirl\, Astronauts\, Trump\, Lance Armstrong\, Woody from Toy Story and many more legends of the hill. Come in costume. Say hello to Bakehouse Lane\, Ockbrook — the shortest climb in the series\, but don’t let that fool you. Short means fast\, and fast means there are absolutely no excuses! 😅 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📍 The Climb: Bakehouse Lane\, Ockbrook  \n\n\n\nThe quickest of the bunch — but every second counts when you’re racing the clock. This is a proper test of stamina\, grit and determination. Welcome to the climb that keeps on giving. 😤 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🏔️ The Challenge: 369ft Over 1.75 Miles  \n\n\n\nStarting at the Bulls Head\, Belper Lane End\, this monster of a climb hits you hard and fast near the bottom — and just when you think you’re through the worst of it… it drags on. And on. And on. 😅 There’s nowhere to hide on this one. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📍 Sign-On: Tannenbaum Campsite — Top of the Hill  \n\n\n\nHead to the Tannenbaum Campsite at the summit to sign on\, where you’ll find: \n\n\n\n\n🅿️ Parking\n\n\n\n🍺 A bar\n\n\n\n🍔 At least one food stall\n\n\n\n\nThen make your way down to the Bulls Head at Belper Lane End for the start line. Simple! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n👨‍👩‍👧 Perfect for Everyone  \n\n\n\nThe campsite is set up to be a fantastic venue for spectators and families — with a safe viewing area to cheer riders as they cross the finish line. The Windmill Hill Climb is firmly cemented in the calendar as an absolute must-do — and once you’ve experienced it\, you’ll know exactly why. 🏆 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🏔️ The Climb: An Iconic Finish Like No OtherRiders set off from the depot at the bottom of the hill\, pushing hard before sweeping into the grounds of the café and crossing the finish line in front of the magnificent Cat & Fiddle Windmill — the highest point in the Ilkeston postcode area. 🌬️ It doesn’t get more dramatic than that. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📍 Sign-On: The CaféGet signed on at the café before making your way to the start. And the best bit?
